Our background

Built by people who’ve spent careers keeping comms running.

Our team has more than 40 years combined in communications technology. The bulk of it on critical systems where downtime isn’t an option. We now put that discipline to work on events.

40+ years

Combined experience in communications technology.

750,000+

Users supported on platforms we’ve built and run.

999 / 911 / 112

Emergency dispatch and frontline radio comms experience.

20+ years

Combined experience working as event organisers ourselves.

Our team has spent careers on critical systems where downtime isn’t an option, and that’s the discipline we bring to every event we cover. Plenty of us have also been on the organising side, planning and running real events, which shapes how we listen and what we recommend.

How it works

Seven steps. Plain English start to packdown.

Choosing a new comms supplier shouldn’t feel daunting, especially for a smaller event. Our role is to make it simple. We explain things in plain English, give practical advice and recommend what your event actually needs, not what looks impressive on paper.

Honest advice, transparent pricing, reliable service. That’s it.

Real hardware, named brands, and the choices that keep events online. Ask the engineer about anything you see here.

Starlink satellite

Single- or multi-dish options

High-gain 4G/5G backup

Multi-carrier capable

Outdoor-rated APs

Band steering, seamless roaming

Isolated networks

VLAN per role and per vendor

Starlink satellite connectivity

Single- or multi-dish satellite setups depending on the site. Typically 150 to 300 Mbps with low latency, anywhere in the UK.

  • Single dish for portable or single-zone use
  • Multi-dish for large or multi-zone events
  • Roaming-capable, deploys in minutes
  • Clear-sky operation, no local network needed

High-gain 4G/5G antenna backup

High-gain 4G/5G antennas as a secondary path alongside the satellite primary. Automatic cutover when the primary drops, so traffic keeps moving.

  • Multi-carrier SIM options
  • Enterprise routing hardware
  • Quick failover, traffic continues
  • Public IP and site-to-site VPN options

Outdoor-rated access points

Outdoor-rated APs with centralised control, band steering and seamless roaming across the venue.

  • Dense, high-capacity coverage
  • Band steering between 2.4 / 5 GHz
  • Hand-off between zones with no drop
  • Branded captive portal option

Managed Ethernet & PoE+

Cat6 copper runs up to 100m, fibre for anything longer. Managed PoE+ switches power APs and edge devices, so we're not dragging mains all over site.

  • Cat6 to every fixed AP and bridge
  • Single-mode fibre for cross-site runs
  • Managed VLAN-aware switches
  • Cable ramps and weatherproofing supplied

Isolated vendor networks

Every vendor on their own VLAN with a private passphrase and usage logs. Card machines and EPOS don't share a connection with public WiFi.

  • VLAN-per-vendor as standard
  • Prioritised QoS lane for payments
  • Per-network traffic logs for organiser
  • Public WiFi fully separated from EPOS

Live network monitoring

Every link, AP and switch monitored through the event. We see issues before they reach the user, and most are sorted before anyone notices.

  • Real-time link & AP health
  • Alerts before issues hit users
  • Per-network traffic and uptime logs
  • Post-event report included

Where we cover

Where we cover: Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the rest of the UK.

We work out of Hedon, just east of Hull. Most jobs are within an hour or so of base: East Yorkshire, Beverley, Driffield and Bridlington, the Wolds, York, Goole and Doncaster, and over the Humber Bridge into North and North East Lincolnshire for Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Scunthorpe. We go further for the right job, into the rest of Yorkshire, down through Lincoln and the Lincolnshire coast, and across the UK. Travel is quoted openly rather than buried in the day rate. The map below shows our coverage area and the Starlink satellites currently overhead, updated live from orbital data published by Celestrak.

The problems we solve

Three things that usually go wrong.

The same failure modes show up at most events. Here's how we engineer around them.

Poor signal on rural & temporary sites

Mobile signal disappears the second you step off the main road. We bring Starlink satellite as primary plus high-gain 4G/5G antennas as backup, so connectivity is yours, not the local network's.

See connectivity

Comms across large outdoor sites

Security, stewards, medical and fire response need to reach each other in seconds, across fields, marquees and several hundred metres. Programmed radios, earpieces and the Ofcom licence sorted for you.

See radio hire

Payments & vendor systems going down

Card machines, ticket scanners, EPOS and vendor WiFi run on separate, prioritised VLANs with private passphrases. Payments aren’t sharing a connection with public WiFi or another vendor.

See networks

Licensing, compliance & insurance

Properly licensed. Fully insured.

Kit is certified, licences are filed, insurance is current. We handle the paperwork so you don't have to chase it.

Ofcom radio licences

We hold the relevant Ofcom licences and you are covered by hiring from us. Multi-channel and multi-site setups are sorted in advance, nothing for you to submit.

UK GDPR aligned

Captive portals and email capture handled to UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 standards. Happy to advise where you need a steer.

PAT-tested equipment

All electrical kit PAT-tested annually with current certification. Inspection records available on request before sign-off.

£5m public liability

£5 million public liability insurance as standard. Certificate goes over ahead of build. Higher cover available on request for larger venues.

DBS-checked engineers

DBS-checked engineers available for events involving young people, schools or vulnerable adults. Mention it during scoping and we'll allocate accordingly.

What organisers say

Feedback from this season’s events.

A few words from the teams we’ve worked with.

“They’ve covered all three of our events this year. Bailwood out in deep forest with no mobile signal at all. WiFi in the main marquee and radio across the whole site. Cods & Sods at the pub venue, with supplementary WiFi for the camping areas and organiser radio. And Fortified down at the old Palmerston fort, with radio reaching right out to the gate. All three worked from the moment we arrived.”

Recent events

Recent jobs: three East Yorkshire rallies, 2026 season.

A growing record of jobs we’ve covered. New entries land here after each event.

A field behind a pub

Cods & Sods September 2026

The pub had WiFi, the camping field had none. A lean kit moved over 120 GB in two days to around 60 guests, fast WiFi to every tent, plus staff radio.

Read the case study

A Palmerston fort

Fortified July 2026

Three days inside Paull Point Battery. 132 GB over Starlink, three isolated networks, zero outages, and the first event we ran radios under our own Ofcom licence.

Read the case study

Deep woodland, zero signal

Bailwood April 2026

250 people under tree cover with no mobile signal at all. Radio across the whole site, WiFi kept deliberately small for the bar and vendors. Includes Mini-Bailwood, the same job for twenty people.

Frequently asked questions

Questions organisers ask before booking.

If yours isn’t here, drop us an email and an engineer will reply.

Quickly, usually the same day. You’ll get a plain-English quote, the recommended kit and the contact details of the engineer who’d run the job. No automated funnels, no chasing for a callback.
Yes. Our primary internet runs over Starlink satellite, which works anywhere with a clear view of the sky. Remote moorland, estate woodlands, the lot. We don’t rely on local mobile networks for primary. Where you want a second path, we add high-gain 4G/5G antennas as backup.
We plan around your venue’s power. Mains feed, generator, or a mix of the two. Each piece of kit’s draw is specified during planning so your sparks knows what’s needed. Where redundancy matters, we’ll talk through options at quote stage.
We use reliable outdoor-rated access points and scale density to your expected attendance and the zone layout. For larger or busier areas we’ll cluster several APs per zone with band steering and seamless roaming, so devices hand off cleanly as people move around.
Every vendor gets their own VLAN-isolated network with a private passphrase. EPOS, card terminals and ticketing systems sit on a prioritised QoS lane. They don’t share a connection with public WiFi or another vendor. You also get a usage log per network, so it’s clear who used what.
Yes. We hold the relevant Ofcom licences and you are covered by hiring from us. Multi-channel and multi-site setups go in advance, so radios arrive programmed, licensed and ready to use. We’ll brief stewards and marshals before the day starts too.
Our engineer is on site through the event with hot-spare kit ready: access points, radios, switches and dishes. Most faults are swapped out within minutes. The network has redundant paths anyway, so a single failure rarely takes a service offline in the first place.
Yes. We do long-term venue installs alongside temporary event hires. Same class of kit, same engineering. It tends to suit showgrounds, country estates, race circuits and sporting clubs that run regular events through the season. Talk to us about a retainer.
A compact single-zone drop-in (Starlink, one AP, a handful of radios) is on air in around 30 minutes. Multi-zone events with VLAN isolation, prioritised EPOS lanes and several APs typically need half a day. Large festivals get a full build day, ideally arriving ahead of vendors. Setup time is quoted as part of the plan.
We are based in Hedon, just east of Hull, and cover Yorkshire and Lincolnshire from base without travel charges. That includes East Yorkshire, York, Doncaster, and over the Humber into North and North East Lincolnshire. We travel further across England, Scotland and Wales for the right job, and the travel line is itemised in the quote rather than hidden in the day rate. Northern Ireland and offshore venues are doable too; logistics are quoted separately in the proposal.
